I have translated all kinds of materials for the sports industry, from television programs to press releases and sports regulations.
Sports translation presents a challenge and therefore it is necessary to be very familiar with the regulations and jargon for different kinds of sports both in the source and target languages.

However, sports translation is not limited just to the sporting event itself. The technical aspect of sports must also be taken into account. Nowhere is this more evident than in the world of motor sports. In translations about motor sports such as rallies, Formula One racing, motocross or even cycling, high technical content is to be expected, because shock absorbers are always breaking, axles have to be changed, drivers have problems with their differentials and mountain bikers have trouble adjusting their forks. Mastering the terminology involved in every one of these sports is therefore very important.
Over the past few years, I have translated various types of programs: from the sports that are most traditional in Spain, such as the UEFA Champions League and the World Rally Championship, to more minor sports like NFL Europe and the Volvo Ocean Race, an around-the-world regatta.
