I translate and adapt all kinds of advertising materials for the Spanish market. It is important having a specialist with extensive knowledge of the local language to translate advertising materials that are going to be used in Spain.

In addition to the translation, adaptation to the target culture must also be considered. Customs and expressions that seem perfectly normal in one place may not be so normal somewhere else. Sometimes, a clever pun with words in English might go unnoticed in Spanish.

Another aspect to keep in mind is the wording of the text. Good promotional or advertising materials should look like they were written only in that language and must be free of literal translations, artificial constructions, grammatical errors, inappropriate expressions, etc. You must never forget that the quality of your texts will invariably be associated with the quality of your product.

I'm perfectly aware of all that, and that's why companies such as Sony or Motorola and their advertising agencies count on me whenever they launch an advertising campaing in Spain.

Within the marketing field, I specialise in consumer magazines for the automotive industry. I've edited articles on auto shows: from concept cars to models soon to hit the auto dealers, test drives, car technology –from the basic concepts of ABS braking system to the lastest technology of today's cars–, travel, news, sports... I have a wide knowledge on this subject and I am quite fond of cars myself.
